The biggest challenge in designing Mecwide’s institutional website was conveying all the necessary information in a clear, chained, and aesthetically appealing manner.
As a company with a multiplicity of areas of activity, it was necessary to find a logical scheme of organization and interactivity that would simplify the online experience of the different target audiences.
In order to achieve this, we worked closely with Mecwide’s team to identify the key messages that needed to be communicated. Once these were established, we set about creating a user-friendly structure that would allow visitors to easily find the information they were looking for.
As a result, the website successfully conveys the breadth and depth of Mecwide’s activities while remaining accessible and engaging.
Mecwide’s goal was to create a website that would accurately reflect their brand and culture.
A major part of the creation of the website wasn’t simply about investing in a new design, but about conveying the importance of its people, its human capital, and its reach in countries like Angola and Mozambique. Part of that meant emphasizing their social responsibility and ambition.
The logo was the starting point for the design process. Taking inspiration from its elements, it was used to create page layouts that are both visually stunning and easy to navigate. The diagonal lines inspired other graphic elements such as sections, image blocks, and icons.
Aesthetics are important in web design, and one way to create a beautiful website is to use an additional color that works in contrast with the brand colors. To this end, we present a light green to bring life to certain elements of the layout, such as icons and buttons, and give more prominence to relevant blocks of information.
This color also contributed to a sense of freshness and vitality, making it an excellent choice for a website that is intended to appeal to a broad audience.
In addition, the application of animated elements in the new website, presented when the user interacts with them, gives more life to the design.
The use of animations can help to guide the user’s eye to important elements on the page and provide details when an action is taken and create a sense of drama or anticipation, making the user’s experience more engaging.
Every single page includes the human element, believing that this builds empathy and improves user-brand relations.
The new website is sure to be just as groundbreaking as their work in the field. From employer branding to multiple areas of activity, Vitamina worked closely with Mecwide to ensure their unique voice was heard. As a result, the site reflects the passion, creative thinking and drive of Mecwiders.
